Row 1 is a header. Column 1 contains student names, Column 2 optionally contains class/group names, and subsequent columns contain numerical scores for each question. A row of maximum marks can optionally follow the header.
| Student Name | Class | Q1 | Q2 | Q3 | Q4 |
| Max marks | 5 | 4 | 8 | 3 | |
| Adams, J. | 10A | 4 | 3 | 6 | 2 |
| Begum, S. | 10B | 5 | 4 | 7 | 3 |
FeedLab reads the first sheet in a workbook. If you have multiple classes on separate sheets, each sheet should be uploaded separately or combined into a single sheet with a class column.
If your scores are already percentages (0–100) rather than raw marks, FeedLab will detect this automatically. Do not include a maximum marks row if scores are percentages.
Remove merged cells — FeedLab works best with plain, unmerged data.
Avoid colour-only formatting to convey meaning — FeedLab reads values, not colours.
Student names in "Surname, Firstname" format are displayed as-is on reports.
Empty rows between students will be skipped automatically.
The threshold slider in the tool controls the WWW/EBI split for all questions.
If your file is not detected correctly, the easiest fix is to use one of our tested templates. They are ready to fill in and guaranteed to work.
